Privacy & Analytics

MoonArq measures website use by default. Part of that measurement shares pseudonymous website activity with Meta to measure our Instagram and Facebook ads, which some state privacy laws treat as a sale or sharing of personal information.

You can opt out at any time with Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information at the bottom of every MoonArq page, or with the button below. After you opt out, or when your browser sends Do Not Track, MoonArq does not create analytics identifiers, read analytics attribution storage, or send website analytics events, and the Meta Pixel does not load. Opting out reloads the page to stop scripts already loaded in that document. Your choice is saved in this browser, so repeat it on each browser or device you use.

MoonArq also honors Global Privacy Control. When your browser sends it, MoonArq does not share your activity with Meta.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Unless you opt out, MoonArq's first-party Website Tracker may record a random pseudonymous browser ID, a per-tab session ID, event and receipt times, sanitized page paths and referrers, coarse device and viewport categories, selected currency, and approved storefront actions such as product views, add to cart, Build Your Own completion, and checkout start.

Supported campaign context can include UTM values and advertising click identifiers such as fbclid, gclid, or ttclid. Complete query strings, URL fragments, form values, authenticated account identity, Email, phone number, customer name, shipping address, and raw browser user-agent strings are not included in this first-party event contract.

The receiving Data Hub may transiently use the request network address for ingestion rate limits and stores only a server-keyed one-way HMAC of that address with the event. The raw network address is not stored in the Website event table or included in dashboard responses.

Unless you opt out, MoonArq may load Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights to understand page use and technical performance. Those providers may process device, browser, network, and interaction information under their own terms. MoonArq does not load these providers after you opt out or when your browser sends Do Not Track, and stops application-sent GA4 events immediately when you opt out.

Unless you opt out, MoonArq may load the Meta Pixel so Meta can measure visits and purchases that come from MoonArq ads on Instagram and Facebook. It reports page views, product views, add to cart, checkout start, and Email signups as leads, with product IDs and names, quantities, and amounts. On Shopify checkout, and only for checkouts started while measurement was on, it also reports the purchase value, currency, and items.

Meta may set its first-party cookies (_fbp, and _fbc when you arrive from an ad click) and receives the page address with device, browser, and network information. Meta processes this under its own terms and may use it for ad delivery and measurement. Automatic configuration is turned off, and MoonArq does not send your Email, phone number, name, or address to Meta.

The Meta Pixel does not load after you opt out, is never loaded on account order, unsubscribe, or admin pages, and does not load when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Opting out reloads the page to stop it; cookies Meta has already set stay in your browser until they expire or you clear them. Learn more in the Meta Privacy Policy.

Unless you opt out, when you begin checkout MoonArq may place the random checkout-event UUID on the Shopify Draft Order. For a Build Your Own bracelet, it may also place a random bracelet-instance UUID on the related line. These values connect an approved website checkout action to the resulting Shopify order; they are not an Email address, customer ID, cookie, or advertising profile. MoonArq also uses the checkout-event UUID as the Meta event ID for that checkout start and purchase, and Shopify checkout reports a purchase to Meta only when the UUID is present.

Data Hub converts the approved linkage values to one-way SHA-256 hashes and excludes the raw UUIDs and arbitrary Shopify attributes from its commerce fact tables and reporting responses. Shopify remains the authority for orders, payments, refunds, and revenue. Historical orders are never guessed into the linked funnel using Email, IP address, customer details, or time proximity.

MoonArq's Data Hub currently retains accepted Website analytics records as source evidence and has not yet implemented a fixed automatic deletion schedule. The records are access-controlled and used to operate and reconcile measurement, investigate data-quality or security issues, and support required records. Opting out stops future measurement but does not automatically delete records already collected.

To ask about access, correction, or deletion, contact support@moonarqstudio.com. Include enough information for MoonArq to understand the request, but do not send passwords, payment-card details, or analytics identifiers.

Website measurement does not subscribe you to promotional Email. Email marketing requires its own explicit checkbox and can be withdrawn independently. Essential checkout, account, fraud-prevention, order, shipping, support, and security processing may still occur when needed to provide a service you request.
